Application Deadlines

Application deadlines vary depending on the program of study:

  • Undergraduate Programs (via UCAS):
    • Standard deadline: January 31 (for most programs)
    • Medicine and Dentistry: October 15 of the previous year.
  • Postgraduate Programs:
    • Deadlines vary by course, but applications for popular courses typically close by June for the September intake.
    • For international students, early applications are encouraged to allow for visa processing.
  • Scholarships: Many scholarships have earlier deadlines, typically between March and May for September intake.

English Language Requirements

International students must demonstrate proficiency in English. The general requirements include:

  • Undergraduate Programs:
    • IELTS: Overall score of 6.0 with at least 5.5 in each section.
    • TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 87 with a minimum of 20 in listening, 19 in reading, 22 in writing, and 21 in speaking.
  • Postgraduate Programs:
    • IELTS: Overall score of 6.5 with at least 6.0 in each section.
    • TOEFL (iBT): Overall score of 92 with minimum component scores of 21 in listening, 22 in reading, 23 in writing, and 22 in speaking.

Some specific programs, particularly in Law, Medicine, and Education, may have higher requirements (up to IELTS 7.0 or equivalent).

Pre-sessional English Courses are also available for those who do not meet the minimum language requirements. These courses help improve proficiency before starting academic programs.
