English Language Requirements:


For admission to the foundation and pre-master’s programs at DIFC, students generally need to demonstrate proficiency in English. The typical requirements are:

Foundation Programs:
  • IELTS: Minimum overall score of 5.5, with no individual band lower than 5.0.
  • TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 65.
  • PTE Academic: Minimum score of 50.
  • Cambridge English Exam: FCE (First Certificate in English) with a score of 162 or higher.
Pre-Master’s Programs:
  • IELTS: Minimum overall score of 6.0, with no individual band lower than 5.5.
  • TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 70.
  • PTE Academic: Minimum score of 55.
  • Cambridge English Exam: CAE (Certificate in Advanced English) with a score of 169 or higher.
